Convenience stores

Student marketing for convenience stores near campus.

Students buy lunch and snacks near campus every day. Here is how convenience stores, forecourts and local retailers win the daily student shop.

The problem

Students shop near campus every day. Which door do they choose?

Students buy lunch and snacks near campus every day, and in the weeks before exams they are on campus late revising. For a convenience store, the student shop is a daily habit worth winning: meal deals, coffee, breakfast rolls, top ups and the evening shop on the way back to student housing.

That habit is local. Students choose the store on their route between lectures, the library and where they live. There were 47,600 purpose built student beds in the State at the end of 2025 (Sherry FitzGerald Research, February 2026), and many more students rent in the neighbourhoods next to campus.

Campus posters with a student offer and directions to the store, plus posters in the student neighbourhoods, put your store on that route. A loyalty card or app sign up keeps them coming back.

  3. 03

    Student offers

A meal deal or student price on the poster, with a QR or code you can count.

  4. 04

    Loyalty

Stamp cards or app sign ups that turn one visit into a habit.

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

Can you run a campaign for one store near one campus?

Yes. We can plan a campaign around a single store and its nearest campus, or for a whole banner across several campuses.

Can the posters name our store and offer?

Yes. The artwork can name the nearest store, the student offer and a QR or code you can count.

Can you place near student residences?

Yes, on approved boards and walls in the student neighbourhoods around campus, as well as on campus within each campus's rules.

Is the category exclusive?

Yes. One advertiser per category per city for each campaign window, so no competing convenience brand runs with us in that city at the same time.
