Storage and student housing

Student marketing for storage and student housing.

Students need somewhere to keep their things when they move out, and somewhere to live when they move in. Here is how storage and accommodation brands reach them at that point.

The problem

Students move in and out on a timetable. Be there when they decide.

Students need somewhere to keep their things when they move out, and at Christmas many leave their rooms for weeks. At the end of the year they leave altogether. In January, rooms come free as semester one students leave, and new students arrive looking for one.

These are decisions made in a few weeks, on a timetable everyone on campus shares. There were 47,600 purpose built student beds in the State at the end of 2025 (Sherry FitzGerald Research, February 2026), and many more students rent in the neighbourhoods next to campus. 44,535 students in 2024/25 came from outside Ireland (HEA Key Facts and Figures 2024/25), and every one of them needs somewhere to live.

A poster on campus and around student housing puts you directly in front of students at the exact point they are deciding, with a QR to book.

How it fits

Where campus postering and sampling fit.

  1. 01

    Move out weeks

A3 posters timed to the weeks before Christmas and the end of the year, when students pack up.

  2. 02

    Around student housing

Placement on approved boards in the student neighbourhoods around campus, and in residences where the operator allows it.

  3. 03

    Room search

For accommodation, posters in the weeks students look for rooms: before January and before the new year starts.

  4. 04

    International students

Placement near the spaces international and exchange students use, within each campus's rules.

Timing

When it works best.

  • September: arrivals, room search and storage for things that did not fit.
  • November to December: Christmas move outs and January rooms.
  • January: second semester arrivals.
  • April to May: end of year move outs and rooms for next year.

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

When should a storage brand run a campaign?

In the weeks before students move out: before Christmas and at the end of the academic year in April and May. September also works, for students arriving with more than their room can hold.

Can you place posters in student residences?

On approved boards in the student neighbourhoods around campus, and inside residences where the operator allows it. We confirm placements for each campaign before you book.

Do you work with student accommodation providers?

Yes. Accommodation fits the same timing: rooms that come free in January, and the search for next year's rooms in spring.

Is the category exclusive?

Yes. One advertiser per category per city for each campaign window, so no competing storage or accommodation brand runs with us in that city at the same time.

How do we start?
